The international community must stop the adventurous actions and aggression of Azerbaijan, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated at a briefing after his meeting with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.

The minister reminded that the visit takes place on the second anniversary of Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression against Artsakh and Armenia and a few days after the encroachment on Armenia's sovereign territory. Two years ago, Dendias also paid a visit to Armenia. The Ministers discussed the development of relations in bilateral and multilateral format, with the participation of Cyprus. FM is sure that the format can be developed for the benefit of the three countries.

The sides had a thorough talk on regional developments. The Armenian Foreign Minister presented to his counterpart the consequences of Azerbaijan's aggression. "We attach importance to a targeted response. Non-targeted statements equating the aggressor and the victim lead to new crimes. It is unequivocal that the consequences must be eliminated. First and foremost is the withdrawal of Azerbaijani forces from Armenian territory. Prisoners of war must be released. The ceasefire regime must be fully respected. At the same time, the international community should stop adventurous actions and aggression of Azerbaijan," Mirzoyan stated.

He stated that two years ago this very day Azerbaijan initiated a large-scale aggression. Today, two years later, the conflict has not been solved, as the reasons for it have not been solved. The minister reiterated that the Armenian side rejects the approach of solving the issue by force and confirms its intention to normalize the situation in the region through peaceful negotiations.
