The government has started a large-scale process of armed forces reforms; but with these provocations, Azerbaijan is trying to make sure that Armenia cannot carry out these reforms. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia.

"Also, you are aware that in all directions, in all cases where possible, unfortunately, they [i.e., the Azerbaijanis] have some success also in terms of relations with our allies, and they are trying to see to it that arms and munitions will not be supplied to Armenia. We have cases when 100 millions of dollars have been paid, but the supply commitments to Armenia are being not fulfilled—including by allied countries. This is, of course, an unfortunate reality. We need to deeply analyze this situation.

But in any case, I want to emphasize also that we must deeply understand one more thing that all this is happening for a long-term or not-long-term objective that we give up our statehood, give up our sovereignty, make concessions on our territorial integrity.

But despite all factors, we are determined in the work of defending our independence, our sovereignty, our territorial integrity. Kudos to all the heroes who stand at the positions of the defense of Armenia's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity!" added Pashinyan.
