U.S. President Joe Biden's administration is trying to dissuade OPEC+ countries from a decision to cut crude oil production, CNN reported.

According to the channel, the White House called the reduction in oil production a total disaster and an enemy act. Also, according to the president's administration, there is no need to cut oil production in the current economic situation.

Over the past several days, senior officials in President Joe Biden's administration in the fields of energy, economics and foreign policy have been brought in to lobby their foreign counterparts in allied countries in the Middle East, the television station reported.

The matter concerns Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The U.S. urged them to vote against production cuts.
