Human Rights Defender Kristinne Grigoryan and French Ambassador Anne Louyot on Wednesday visited Syunik Province of Armenia, the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia informed.

They met with Syunik governor Robert Ghukasyan, and talked about the damage caused to the settlements of this province as a result of the aggression by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, between September 13 and 15.

The Syunik governor briefed the guests on the current situation, and noted the primary issues.

Then, accompanied by Syunik governor Robert Ghukasyan and Goris city mayor Arush Arushanyan, the Defender and the Ambassador visited the families affected by the aforesaid military aggression.

In Verishen village, they met with the residents of houses damaged by Azerbaijani shelling and artillery bombardments, as well as an injured civilian who had sustained shrapnel wounds while doing agricultural work.
