The Czech government has cleared the way for the introduction of electricity and gas price limits for households, government agencies and small companies for 2023, Reuters reports.

Czech limits will be set at 6 crowns ($0.24) per kilowatt hour for electricity and 3 crowns for gas during 2023, Prime Minister Petr Fiala said.

The limits, first agreed to by the government last month, also apply to public institutions such as hospitals or schools.

Last month, the government agreed to give a bailout package of 30 billion kroner to larger companies, with another 30 billion to be given to smaller companies.
