The price of copper on Thursday morning rises, trading data show, since the beginning of the week the metal has already risen by almost 5%.

December futures on the Comex exchange for copper rose by 0.81% to $3.5717 per pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

At the end of Wednesday's trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME), the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months decreased by 0.5% to $7,679.5, aluminum - rose by 0.17%, to $2,352, zinc - fell by 0.1%, to $3,044.
