The countries of the Caspian region have to work in difficult conditions—of global economic turbulence and geostrategic tension. The Russian Prime Minister said this at the plenary session of the Caspian Economic Forum in Moscow, RIA Novosti reported.

"The collective West, attempting to preserve the existing world order that suits it, is exerting increasing pressure on other countries. First of all, on those who protect their national interests and are not ready to play by Western rules. This includes Russia, too" said Mikhail Mishustin.

The Caspian Economic Forum takes place in Moscow on Wednesday and Thursday. Along with Mishustin, the PMs of Azerbaijan of Kazakhstan, the first vice-president of Iran, and the deputy PM of Turkmenistan are attending this event.
