Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus demanded from the law enforcement agencies of the country to institute criminal proceedings for groundless growth of prices and tariffs in the domestic market, the head of the information department of the Prosecutor General's Office Anzhelika Kurchak stated on Friday.

"The Prosecutor General's Office demanded from the leadership of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Financial Investigation Department to immediately institute criminal proceedings for each violation of the law, which resulted in unreasonable price increases, to detain suspects and elect a preventive measure in the form of detention," said the official representative of the department.
