YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia on Friday attended the informal meeting of leaders of the CIS member countries, in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the PM's office informs.

The presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan also participated in this event.

In his welcoming remarks, Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the leaders of the other CIS countries for coming to Saint Petersburg, and noted that this informal meeting will give them the opportunity to talk about the matters and topics to be discussed at the next week's CIS summit in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
