Russian draws attention to some developments in the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference in Astana, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, the CIS partners are concerned about the development of relations between Russia and Ukraine, but this does not affect the depth of relations between the countries.

"Of course, the partners are interested and concerned about the future development of relations in the Russian-Ukrainian direction. But this is a subject of discussion. This is true, there is nothing so unexpected here. And I inform our partners about it in detail, tell our point of view. But this does not affect the character, the quality, the depth of relations between Russia and these countries," the Russian leader said.

Putin added that the formats of communication between the CIS countries are in demand. "Our allies, our partners want to work in such formats. Nothing changes in this sense," he said.

Putin also added that Russian "pays attention to some events related to relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and what is going on between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan."
