Armenia can make some progress in 2023 in the context of the dialogue for visa simplification with the EU countries. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan stated this in the National Assembly (NA), at Thursday’s joint session of NA standing committees—and answering the questions of the MPs.

The deputy FM noted that they have already discussed this matter, presenting the created situation and existing problems, and added that it continues to remain on their agenda.

"The last time it was discussed at the session of the Committee on Cooperation Issues. Moreover, during my work meetings in recent times, readiness to raise this matter has been raised more than once. The situation is still not so easy. However, in my opinion, we will be able to make some progress in this matter during the next year," said Hovhannisyan.
