Russia has resumed its participation in the inspection of vessels within the framework of the Black Sea Grain initiative, said Ismini Palla, the UN representative to the joint coordination center.

According to her, more than 120 vessels are now waiting for permission to move, mainly those bound for Ukraine, RIA Novosti reported.

She added that seven ships carrying a total of 290,102 tons of grain and food are moving from Ukraine through the maritime humanitarian corridor. One ship, she said, is headed for Ukraine's Yuzhny.

Earlier, the UN coordinator for the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Amir Abdullah, said that the movement of ships with Ukrainian food would resume on 3 November.
