The delegation headed by the newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Armenia Cypros Yiorgalis (residence in Moscow) on Tuesday visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The guests were welcomed by Deputy Director of the Museum-Institute of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Lusine Abrahamyan, who presented the history of the creation of the memorial complex.

She presented the history of the three cross-stones installed on the territory of Tsitsernakaberd to commemorate the Armenians who died during the massacres organized by the Azerbaijani government at the end of the last century in Sumgait, Kirovabad (Gandzak) and Baku and mentioned that what happened was a continuation of the Armenian Genocide.

They laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the innocent victims of the Genocide with a minute of silence.
