Sisak Gabrielyan, head of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports, along with committee members Hasmik Hakobyan, Narek Babayan and Hakob Aslanyan, in a delegation headed by Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan, met with Eliso Bolkvadze, head of the Georgian Parliamentary Cultural Affairs Committee in Tbilisi.

The parliamentarians touched upon the centuries-old relations and cooperation between Armenia and Georgia. They discussed issues of intensifying cooperation in the sphere of culture and implementation of new programs.

Gabrielyan and Bolkvadze signed a memorandum of cooperation between the commissions during the visit.

“This will be the start of the next phase of strengthening and cooperation of cultural ties between Armenia and Georgia,” the sides noted.
