In Bulgaria, the police have detained five suspects in connection with the terrorist attack in Istanbul, which killed six people, according to the Bulgarian National Television, citing sources in the law enforcement agencies.

Among the detainees there are citizens of Moldova and people of Arab origin.

An official representative of the Bulgarian prosecutor's office Sika Mileva confirmed this information, noting that four of the five people have been detained for 72 hours, and a request for their permanent arrest has been made to the court.

The detainees were found to have assisted the organizers of the attack with logistics and communications.

On November 13, there was an explosion on the pedestrian street Istiklal in a central Istanbul neighborhood. Turkish Ministry of Justice said it was an act of terrorism. As a result of the explosion, six people were killed and more than 80 injured. Two days later, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag reported the detention of 50 people suspected of involvement in the terrorist attack in Istanbul.
