Turkish police detained eight more people on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist attack that took place on Istiklal Street in Istanbul on November 13, A-Haber TV channel reported, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.

The detainees are suspected of aiding and abetting terrorists. It's known that the two detainees helped Syrian citizen Ahlam al-Bashir, who committed a terrorist attack, to enter illegally into Turkey from Syria.

On November 13, there was an explosion on pedestrian street Istiklal in one of central districts of Istanbul. The Turkish Ministry of Justice said it was an act of terrorism. As a result of the explosion, six people were killed and more than 80 injured.

Two days later, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag reported on the detention of 50 people suspected of involvement in the attack in Istanbul. Turkish authorities accused the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) of committing the attack, but the party itself did not take the blame.
