The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the preliminary results of the presidential elections of Kazakhstan held on Sunday, Tengrinews.kz reported.

CEC chairman Nurlan Abdirov informed that the voter turnout was 9,300,046 people, or 69.44 percent.

"According to the preliminary results, the candidates have garnered:

Karakat Abden – 206,206 votes, or 2.60 percent.

Nurlan Auesbaev - 176,116 votes, or 2.22 percent.

Jiguli Dairabaev  - 271,641 votes, or 3.42 percent.

Meiram Kazhiken - 200,907 votes, or 2.53 percent.

[Incumbent President] Kassym-Jomart Tokayev - 6,456,392 votes, or 81.31 percent.

Saltanat Tursinbekova - 168,731 votes, or 2.12 percent," Abdirov informed.
