Tesla announced the recall of 321 thousand electric cars Model 3 and Model Y in the U.S. because of an error in the software, the portal The Verge reported.

According to the representative of Tesla, the problem lies in the taillights, which can start blinking that leads to false positives fault detection system. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the error in the lights poses an increased risk of accidents during the dark hours of the day. Tesla said it has no data that the above problem has led to accidents and injuries. It is reported that all defective cars will receive an operating system update, which is designed to fix the bug.

As noted by The Verge, Tesla recalls its electric cars due to various bugs for the 19th time in 2022. At the beginning of November it became known that the company recalls over 40,000 electric cars because of the power steering malfunction. Due to the error, the power steering could turn off unexpectedly, causing the driver to have to apply more effort to steer the car, especially at low speeds.
