The process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey is progressing positively, the press secretary of Turkish President Ibrahim Kalin said, Anadolu news agency reported.

According to him, the special envoys of the two countries are in regular contact, discussing various issues, including the possibility of crossing the border with passports, steps that can be taken in the near future.

"We want to lay the foundation for peace and prosperity throughout the South Caucasus. The Karabakh conflict has been resolved, and now the countries are engaging without third-party mediation. This is of particular importance," Kalin added.
