NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO allies plan to increase support to NATO partners - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Moldova, which, according to him, are under pressure from Russia.

His remarks came at a meeting of North Atlantic Council foreign ministers in Bucharest with Finland, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Moldova, the alliance's official website reported.

He added that over the years, NATO and allies have supported all three partners, including in building defense capabilities, reforms and strengthening their defense and security institutions.

He said the Bucharest meeting was evidence of strong and growing cooperation between NATO and partner countries in these challenging times. At the same time, he called it an opportunity to discuss security issues in the strategically important Black Sea and Western Balkans region.
