Hungary has promised to ratify Finland and Sweden's NATO bids in early February 2023, Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto said, Reuters reported.

It was a positive message. It specifically noted that Hungary has no preconditions, Haavisto told reporters in Bucharest, where he was attending a meeting with his NATO colleagues.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said last week that the country's parliament will ratify Finland and Sweden's NATO membership early next year.

According to Haavisto, Turkey is the only NATO country that has not ratified the bids and has yet to set a date.
