Georgia is a very valuable partner for NATO. And NATO is really intensifying its cooperation with Georgia, Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoletenberg said.

According to him, after the summit of the leaders of NATO member states in Madrid in June, a clear signal was sent in this regard, and it was confirmed at the meeting of foreign ministers in Bucharest. It was a clear signal that NATO  needs to do more together with Georgia. NATO has strengthened its political cooperation, the practical support, and also, understanding that this reflects the fact that the whole Black Sea region is of great strategic importance to the North Atlantic Alliance. NATO as a whole has increased its presence in the Black Sea region.  NATO has three member states - Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania as members and also Ukraine and Georgia as close and valuable partners. NATO will continue to increase its efforts, he said.
