The seismological network of Territorial Seismic Protection Service of Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8, with geographic coordinates of 38.96⁰ north latitude and 46.29⁰ east longitude. This is 7 km to the northeast from Meghri city.

Origin of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km.

The intensity of underground shocks in the epicenter made 3-4 magnitude.

The earthquake was felt in Meghri and Agarak cities and Alvank, Nrnadzor and Shvanidzor villages of Syunik region of Armenia. The intensity of the earthquake was 3 points there and in Kapan town - 2-3 points.
