The price of copper is rising Tuesday after falling 1.8%, trading data show. Earlier in the day, copper prices were held back by a strengthening dollar.

March futures on copper on the Comex exchange rose by 0.65% to $3.8135 a pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

At Monday's trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME), the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months decreased by 0.7% to $8,391, aluminum - by 0.9% to $2,522.5 and zinc - rose by 1.53% to $3,126.
