Azerbaijani MP Fazil Mustafa, speaking at his country’s parliament, expressed bewilderment at how the French National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution on imposing sanctions on Azerbaijan. In this regard, he complained about the Azerbaijani diplomatic corps in European countries, Azerbaijani media report.

"During the last session, we expressed our attitude towards the despicable decision of 256 MPs. But we forgot to talk about our inaction. What is our inaction? We are talking about France, Belgium, Germany, and other countries. How can such a thing happen that a unanimous resolution is adopted, and no one supports Azerbaijan? Our diplomatic corps has been operating there [in Europe] for 30 years. Didn't those ambassadors have 5-6 acquaintances, friends there? Did sparsely populated Armenia manage to have an impact? It is unbelievable. Our problem is that we are unable resolve the issues related to us. Very often high positions are held by incompetent people. Our diplomatic corps should have the opportunity to communicate with competent persons in those countries who can influence public opinion. They simply spend five years there and return. No one asks what they were doing [there]," said the Azerbaijani MP.

But he simply does not notice the obvious: Armenia is supported simply because that is justice.
