Armenia has received proposals from Azerbaijan regarding the peace treaty; Yerevan and Baku are starting the third phase of the negotiation process. Eduard Aghajanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and a member of the ruling majority “Civil Contract” Faction in the NA, stated this at the NA Tuesday.

"Yes, indeed, the Armenian side has received Azerbaijan's proposals which, in fact, are a response to the Armenian side's proposals. It can be said that the third phase of proposals is being discussed. I believe it is wrong to call it a ‘document’ at the moment. Since these are details not subject to publicizing, I cannot speak out and make them public," said Aghajanyan.

He added, however, that it is not ruled that there may be a meeting between the Armenian PM and the Azerbaijani president, or at the level of foreign ministers of the two countries before the end of the year.
