Azerbaijan has not announced that the proposals made by Armenia for the second time about the peace treaty are not acceptable. Eduard Aghajanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and a member of the ruling majority “Civil Contract” Faction in the NA, stated this during Tuesday’s NA press conference of the members of the Armenian delegation to the OSCE PA.

"The proposal we received [from Azerbaijan] is a practical process of developing a possible document. That is, from the beginning, we had received proposals from the Azerbaijani side, in response to which we have sent our completed version of—our proposals to—the same proposals. In recent times, there has not been any such statement that they do not accept our proposals," said Aghajanyan.

As for whether the Azerbaijani side is for or against the third package of peace talks, the Armenian MP noted that while the respective text is in the working phase, it is too early to express any position as to whether or not it is acceptable. He only reminded that we are talking about a work on the same documentary basis.
