YEREVAN. – The seismological network of Armenia on Thursday recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 in southern Russia, at 10:42am local time, 99 kilometers southwest of Makhachkala city, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The tremor measured magnitude 7 to 8 at the epicenter, the emergency state service of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The seismic activity was felt also in Tavush, Lori, and Gegharkunik provinces of Armenia, and in Artsakh.
