Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold a meeting with ambassadors of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states on December 12, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday, TASS reported.

"The traditional meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with ambassadors of member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held in Moscow on December 12," she said.

Zakharova noted that the Russian foreign minister will sum up the results of interaction with Commonwealth countries in the outgoing year and will voice Russia's priority areas for the future. "And, of course, inform the ambassadors of Russia's position on a number of topical international and regional topics," the diplomat added.
