The government of Armenia, at its Cabinet meeting today, approved the draft presidential decree on approving the agreement signed with Uruguay on the implementation of paid activities by family members of diplomatic, consular, administrative, and technical staff of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of the two countries.

According to the respective explanation, the Uruguayan embassy has been operating in the Armenian capital Yerevan since August 2019.

And on August 19 of this year, the notification by the Armenian foreign ministry about the intention of the Armenian side to open a resident embassy of Armenia in Uruguay was transferred to the Uruguayan side.

The purpose of the abovementioned agreement is to improve the working opportunities for family members of the staff of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Armenia and Uruguay.
