The Turkish presidential spokesperson reflected on the topic of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.

Ibrahim Kalin participated in an event held at Bilkent University in Ankara, and dedicated to the prospects of Turkey's foreign policy, Hurriyet reported.

In his remarks at the event, Kalin emphasized that once a peace treaty is signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia, there will be peace and prosperity in the region. According to him, everyone will benefit from this—and Armenia will benefit the most.

"Because Armenia is a small landlocked country with a population of [just] three million. The normalization  of [its] relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey will contribute the most to the development of Armenia. Contrary to the opinion of the Armenian diaspora, Armenia needs Turkey and Azerbaijan more than France and the US.

If we speak frankly, Armenia is today under the military auspices and economic control of Russia. Armenia is a country that works to exist, positioning itself as a part of the Western bloc. The best solution for Armenia is the normalization of [its] relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan", said Ibrahim Kalin.
