Inflation in Turkey will fall to an average of 42.4% by the end of the year and the economy will grow by 3.7%, the Dünya newspaper said, citing the UN report World Economic Situation and Prospects.

Inflation will slow to 13.5 percent in 2024 and the Turkish economy will grow by 3.5 percent, the UN forecasts.

Turkey's annual inflation slowed to 64.27 percent in December 2022 from 84.39 percent in November, the National Institute of Statistics (TUIK) reported earlier. According to official data, housing and utilities (79.83%), as well as soft drinks (77.9%) and transportation services (54.5%) rose the most in annual terms.
