Japan and the Netherlands are ready to join the United States in restricting China's access to modern equipment for the production of semiconductors. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.

According to the agency, representatives from the United States, the Netherlands and Japan should conclude talks on new restrictions on January 27. It is noted that the parties do not plan to formally announce their decision.

According to Bloomberg, the Netherlands intends to impose restrictions on the company ASML Holding NV, banning it from selling at least some types of lithographic machines used in the manufacture of some advanced chips. Japan, in turn, will impose a similar ban on Nikon Corp.
