Two pilots of the two Indian Air Force (IAF) planes that crashed have been found and hospitalized, with the third pilot currently being sought. This was reported by NDTV television, citing a high-ranking police officer.

While two pilots were rescued and taken to the hospital, efforts are underway to rescue the missing third pilot, noted the respective statement.

Indian defense minister Rajnath Singh said that he was following the developments closely.

Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of India will have to determine the causes of the incident, including whether there was a mid-air collision.

Two IAF warplanes—a Russian-made Su-30 and a French-made Mirage 2000—crashed Saturday in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Rescue work continues at the crash site.
