Israeli police have tentatively qualified the shooting in East Jerusalem as a terrorist attack, according to the agency's website.

According to the police, the shooter has been neutralized and a large police force has been dispatched to the scene. Two people were injured in the incident.

Earlier, it was reported that an unidentified man opened fire on Maalot Street, near the entrance to the site. The shooter was then neutralized.

On January 27, seven people were killed and three injured in an attack on a synagogue in East Jerusalem. Local law enforcement officials classified the attack as a terrorist attack. Preliminarily, the attacker arrived in a car and stopped outside the synagogue. Soon the man opened fire on the worshippers, the shooting lasted several minutes. The attacker then left the scene.

A 21-year-old East Jerusalem resident may have been involved in the attack, and the investigation continues.
