Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Saturday visited the Ministry of Defense on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Armed Forces of Armenia, where an assembly-consultation took place with the participation of the highest-ranking officers of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister's press service reports.

First, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan delivered remarks, then Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed those in attendance.

“We don’t need the army for war,  but for peace,” he noted, in particular.

During the event, Armenia’s top military units and divisions based on the results of the 2022 academic year were presented. In the near future, the ceremonies of handing the flags of honor to these units and divisions will take place.
