A U.S. Treasury Department official will warn the UAE and Turkey against evading sanctions against Russia during a visit to those countries, Reuters reports.

According to the agency, the ministry intends to convey to Turkey and the UAE that they could lose the U.S. market if they do business with Russian entities that are subject to U.S. restrictions imposed due to the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier, the head of the US Treasury Department Janet Yellen stated that she was discussing with the European Union and G7 a price ceiling on Russian oil products. She said this during her visit to South Africa.

According to her, now there are discussions of a specific level of price caps.

Yellen also noted in Senegal that setting new price ceilings on oil products from Russia turned out to be difficult and everything can not go according to plan.

Nevertheless, according to the Minister, the US authorities believe that new limitations will allow to achieve the same thing we achieved with oil.

At the same time Yellen noted the importance of ensuring an uninterrupted supply of Russian diesel fuel to the market.
