European Union imposed sanctions against Iranian drone manufacturing corporation Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Corporation, the official magazine of the EU noted.

Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Corporation (HESA) is an Iranian company specializing in the production of military and civilian aircraft as well as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

HESA produces UAVs used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). HESA is involved in UAV research, development, production, and flight operations. HESA is a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Organization of Iran (IAIO), a state-owned enterprise subordinated to the Ministry of Defense and Logistics of the Iranian Armed Forces (MODAFL). The UAVs produced by HESA in Iran are used by the Russian Federation in its war of aggression against Ukraine.

Therefore, HESA is responsible for materially supporting actions that undermine or threaten Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence, the EU explains its decision.
