According to the results of 2022, the indicator of economic activity was 14.2 percent in Armenia, and it was 12.8 percent in December 2022 compared to December of the previous year.

The Statistical Committee of Armenia has publicized the January-December 2022 macroeconomic indicators of the country.

Accordingly, trade increased by 17 percent (December 2022 compared to December 2021: 23.9 percent), construction increased by 12.5 percent (December 2022 compared to December 2021: 7.3 percent).

The service sector grew by 28.2 percent in 2022 (by 27.9 percent in December 2022 compared to December 2021), industry by 7.8 percent (by 2.7 percent in December 2022 compared to December 20221).

Inflation was 8.6 percent in 2022, and 8.3 percent in December 2022 compared to December of the previous year.

The foreign trade increased by 68.6 percent in the 12 months of 2022, and by 69.9 percent in December 2022 compared to December 2021.

Exports increased by 77.7 percent (by 90.2 percent in December), and imports increased by 63.5 percent (by 60.2 percent in December) over 12 months of the year past.

Electricity production grew by 16.1 percent in 2022, and agriculture—by 0.4 percent.

The average monthly salary in Armenia increased by 15.5 percent, making 235,576 drams, while the salary increase in the public sector was 4.3 percent, whereas 19 percent—in the private sector.
