According to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, any peace talks should be conditioned on Russia's withdrawal of its troops from the territory of Ukraine, Scholz said at a press conference with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil, reported European Pravda, referring to DPA

In addition, there can be no negotiated peace with Russia behind the backs of the Ukrainians, Scholz said.

The German chancellor added that he and the president of Brazil have a clear common position: "We both condemn the Russian invasion."

On the other hand, Lula clearly rejected hopes of supplying Ukraine with ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft guns or Leopard tanks.

"Brazil is not interested in transferring ammunition for the Ukrainian-Russian war. Brazil is a country of peace. And that is why Brazil does not want to participate in this war, even indirectly," he said at a joint press conference.

Meanwhile, Olaf Scholz claims that the question of possible provision of fighter jets to Ukraine does not even arise yet.
