The net flow of remittances to Armenia was record-breaking and amounted to $2.5 billion. Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Martin Galstyan, told this to a press conference Tuesday.

He explained that in first place in this regard is the remittances from Russia—70 percent, in second place is the US, etc.

Galstyan repeated that the total loan portfolio is 15.5 percent.

"Foreign currency loans of legal entities increased by 3.6 percent, in drams—by 21.6 percent. The total growth of foreign currency loans of legal entities was 10.1 percent. Foreign currency loans of individuals did not increase; in drams—about 20 percent. The increase was recorded on the account of residents," added the CBA governor.
