Copper prices rose symbolically on Thursday, trading data showed. The outcome of the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting allowed quotations to partially recover Wednesday's losses.

March copper futures on the Comex exchange rose 0.08% to $4.184 a pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

At the end of Wednesday's trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME), the cost per tonne of copper with delivery in three months fell by 1.47% to $9,087, aluminum - by 0.47%, to $2,631.5, zinc - by 1.17%, to $3,349.5.
