American Armenians demonstrated in front of the Capitol building in Washington D.C. Thursday, expressing their protest against the ongoing Azerbaijani blockage of the Lachine corridor, which links Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia. US Congressman Frank Pallone also participated in the demonstration.

"Demonstrators were at the Capitol today opposing Azerbaijan's illegal and inhumane blockade of the Lachin Corridor. I proudly stood with them in calling for the United States to hold [Azerbaijani president] Aliyev accountable for his human rights abuses against the people of Artsakh," Pallone wrote on Twitter.

According to the photo attached to the post, the protesters are holding a huge national flag of Armenia and banners calling for an end to the blockade of Artsakh, an end to US military assistance to Azerbaijan, and some other calls.
