Inflation in Turkey reached an annual rate of 57.68% in January. Such data was provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday. In December last year, the figure was 64.27%.

At the same time, according to the independent Inflation Analysis Group, it rose to 121.62%.

Turkish authorities have been pursuing the so-called new economic policy since December 2020, which focuses on strengthening the Turkish lira. However, the exchange rate of the national currency against the dollar has not declined significantly in recent months.
