The defense minister on Saturday continued his talks with the officers of the training military units of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia. Minister Suren Papikyan wrote about this on Facebook and posted photos from those meetings.

"The prospects for the modernization of the Armed Forces, a number of issues related to the increase of the combat capability of the troops, the strengthening of the degree of combat readiness were discussed. I also talked with the officers about their social and living issues.

The tours that started this week to all MOD military units and military bases will continue. The purpose of the visits is to get acquainted—on the spot—with the process of organizing the [military] service, the discipline and the morale and psychological state of servicemen, the social and living conditions, the furnishing of the front line, and the progress of construction work being carried out," added the defense minister.
