The tremors from the powerful earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria were felt even in Greenland, reports Agence France-Presse, citing the Danish Geological Institute.

"The large earthquake in Turkey was clearly recorded on seismographs in Denmark and Greenland," seismologist Tina Larsen told the agency.

The authorities of many countries have already expressed support for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria and declared their readiness to send rescuers there.
