The death toll and the number of injured people are increasing as a result of the strong earthquake that hit Turkey on Monday.
Turkey's department of emergencies reported 2,316 dead and 13,293 injured.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 was recorded in Turkey Monday at 4:17am local time in the Pazarcik region near the city of Kahramanmaras. There were 42 aftershocks, the strongest of which was 6.6 in magnitude. Later, another earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.5, was registered.

Seven days of mourning have been declared in Turkey.
