A massive fire erupted after an earthquake in the Turkish port of Iskenderun in southeastern Turkey, Anadolu news agency reported.

The fire broke out on Monday night in cargo containers in the port area. The containers overturned during an earthquake. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

According to the agency, the Coast Guard ship Yasam was involved in extinguishing the fire, but the fire covers more areas in the port.

The port of Iskenderun in Hatay province was temporarily put out of service on Monday due to the devastation after an earthquake in the region.
