The speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, does not think that it is necessary to respond to Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov’s recent statement regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

"What should we respond [to]? I believe everything is clear, and it is a process that should not be interrupted now. In a big sense, nothing new was heard for us. What should we respond [to]? Should we say everything is as we have always said and they have accused us, they have said it is not so?" said Simonyan speaking with reporters.

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov had stated that Armenia had occupied the seven regions of Azerbaijan for a long time, and now Azerbaijan returned the lands belonging to it.
