The German foreign minister commented on the fact that gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe cause Baku to be forgiven far more than is permissible for a state governed by the rule of law, which worries the Armenian public.

At a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the German minister said that dependence on supplies from Russia has taught them a lot. It can have dangerous consequences. Now that Germany got rid of dependence on Russian gas, they are looking for new partners and trying to make up for energy losses and eliminate the crisis. Germany and other EU countries are looking for ways to develop recovering energy. But this does not mean that they ignore human rights and the principles of the rule of law, the minister said.
